[VIDEO] AFCON 2025: Super Eagles Arrive Back In Fez Ahead Of Semi-Final Clash Against Hists Morocco

Nigeria’s Super Eagles returned on Sunday to their base in Fez, Morocco, ahead of a high-stakes Africa Cup of Nations 2025 semifinal clash against hosts Atlas Cubs.

Their arrival comes less than 24 hours after the team secured a commanding 2-0 victory over Algeria in the quarterfinals in Marrakech on Saturday.

Video of their arrival, shared on the Super Eagles’ X handle, shows the players disembarking from a Royal Air Maroc flight under clear skies, dressed in matching grey puffer jackets and tracksuits, carrying personal luggage as they descended the aircraft stairs.

The footage captures the squad in high spirits, with star striker Victor Osimhen visible among the group.

In the accompanying post, the Super Eagles wrote, “The Super Eagles return to Fez. A recovery session is scheduled for tonight at the Saardienne Football Complex. #SuperEagles #AFCON2025 #Naija4TheWin.”

In Marrakech, Osimhen’s leaping header and his setup for Jerome Akor’s goal sealed the win, eliminating Algeria and propelling Nigeria to their 16th AFCON semifinal appearance.

Nigeria will face Morocco at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat on Wednesday, January 14, at 9 pm local time.
