A young Nigerian student’s emotional reaction to her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result has stirred attention on social media.

After anxiously awaiting her score, she was visibly heartbroken upon seeing the outcome. The moment was captured in a video shared on TikTok through her official account, @ronnie.vee54.

In the video, she voiced her shock and disappointment, questioning the accuracy of the score. She insisted that the result didn’t reflect her true performance, as she was confident in the answers she provided during the examination.

The student stated that she had studied diligently for the exam, focusing especially on subjects related to her intended course in Mass Communication.

However, her score of 171 fell far below her expectations, particularly considering the high admission standards of her preferred university.

She expressed uncertainty about her next steps, fearing that her score might not be enough to gain admission into the university of her choice.

In her words; “Throughout yesterday I have been unable to recover the shock after checking my UTME result. This thing is from JAMB. JAMB should know what they did. Don’t tell me that I scored 171. I know what I did. I know what I studied and saw in that exam. How will I study mass comm with this score? You are expecting me to sit down back in the house. To do what exactly? UNILAG that is very competitive. I put effort in this exam and I am seeing 171.”
