The imminent announcement of inflation statistics for March 2024 is expected from the National Bureau of Statistics on Monday, March 15th.

According to NewsNow, the NBS typically reveals its monthly consumer price index in the middle of each month.

In February, the inflation rate climbed to 31.70%, up from January’s 29.90%.

On the other hand, CAPE Economic Research and Consulting forecasts a rise in the country’s consumer price index to 32.65% from the February 2024 figure of 31.70%.

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s food inflation rate has been steadily increasing, now standing at 37.92%.

Despite the Naira’s recent strength against the Dollar over the past few months, Nigerians are still grappling with the escalating cost of living.
