The UEFA Champions League UCL is back this week and pundits as well as football fans have narrowed in on the very crucial fixtures.

The fixture nicknamed the battle of England’s number 10’s features Manchester City versus Real Madrid in which two England internationals, Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham seek to settle the debate on who is better at playing England’s no. 10 role at Euro 2024.

With an impressive 20 goals in his first season at Real Madrid, Bellingham seems to be Gareth Southgate’s pick for England’s no. 10 position. Both players will have the chance to showcase their prowess in order to convince Southgate why they should be considered in that key playmaking position.

Arsenal also welcome Bayern with their famous no. 1 villain, Harry Kane playing for Bayern. While at Tottenham, the England captain scored 14 goals in 19 games against the Gunners. With an incredible 38 goals in his first 37 matches for Bayern, Harry Kane returns to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal who sit at the top of the EPL table and are yet to concede a goal in a month.

This season’s UCL may as well be the final campaign for Kylian Mbappe in Paris Saint Germain PSG colours. The 25-year-old world champion has 39 goals in all competitions to his name this season. PSG’s match against Barcelona will present the French forward with another chance to write his name in football’s history books. PSG’s hope to avenge their 6-1 loss to Barca in 2017 seems to rest on the shoulders of Mbappe. Real Madrid seems to be Mbappe’s next destination.
