Tony Khan makes two AEW signings official

Because AEW and sister brand Ring of Honor have different types of contracts (and sometimes because former WWE wrestlers have non-competes they didn’t know about), even after someone has debuted for one of is promotions, it’s always good to wait until Tony Khan posts the “S0-and-So is All Elite” graphic on social media* before officially declaring them members of the AEW roster.

We took the cautious approach with both new members of The Don Callis Family who were introduced tonight (Jan. 7) on Dynamite, but TK didn’t keep us in suspense about the debuting Jake Doyle (fka TNA’s Jake Something) or the re-returning Andrade El Ídolo

The 36-year-old Doyle’s TNA contract reportedly expired Dec. 31 or Jan. 1. He worked a handful of Dark matches for AEW in 2022, now he’s back as muscle for Callis — and it looks like a tag partner for Mark Davis.

Andrade… we’re guessing you’re pretty familiar with.
