Offering his deepest condolences to the military, Tinubu praised the Armed Forces for their restraint in refraining from carrying out any reprisal attacks in Okuama or its neighboring communities. He urged the Armed Forces not to be discouraged by the loss of their comrades, emphasizing the profound honor inherent in their chosen vocation and the nation’s unwavering appreciation for their sacrifices.

Acknowledging the pivotal role of the Nigerian Military in upholding democracy and promoting peace within the nation and beyond, Tinubu underscored the duty to protect the families of the fallen heroes.

Regarding compensation for the deceased soldiers, Tinubu outlined the government’s plans, stating that each of the four officers and 13 soldiers’ families would receive a house anywhere in the country.
