Three Killed, Women and Children Abducted in Bargaja Raid By Notorious Bello Turji’s Gang

At least three people were killed on Saturday night in a violent attack on Bargaja community, Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State, by suspected bandits led by the notorious Bello Turji.

The incident was reported on Sunday by security analyst Bakatsine via X, revealing that Turji and his fighters stormed the community late at night, leaving a trail of death and abduction. Several women and children were reportedly kidnapped during the raid, though the exact number of abductees remains unconfirmed.

“Last night, notorious bandit leader Bello Turji led his gang to the Bargaja community in Isa LGA of Sokoto State, resulting in the deaths of three people. Several women and children were also abducted,” Bakatsine posted.

The security analyst further questioned the effectiveness of current measures, asking what strategies local and federal security agencies could implement to halt Turji’s recurrent attacks in Sokoto and protect civilians from further harm.

As of the time of filing this report, neither the Sokoto State Government nor federal security agencies had issued an official statement regarding the raid.
