Despite being inspired by hot rods, the Plymouth Prowler, which was one of the forgotten Chrysler sports cars, lacked the performance of a thoroughbred hot rod, and US road regulations compromised its styling. This resulted in it having those characteristic but unattractive split bumpers. While it is a competent roadster that has found favor with some, its bark was nowhere near as strong as the bite of the V8 Plymouth Howler concept.
