You take your idea to the Canadian government and, somehow, get plenty of funding so you can actually live the dream. Even better, you somehow convince Pontiac to sell your vehicle through its North American dealerships to turn your fantasy into a reality. Too far-fetched to stand a chance? Well, that's exactly what an enterprising group of waiters managed to achieve in the mid-1980s, and this is their unlikely but very true story.
