Tesla’s Giga Shanghai features a large koi pond filled with treated industrial wastewater, showcasing the effectiveness of its advanced water recycling system. The factory reuses about 98% of its water, recycling more than 400,000 tons every year as part of its sustainable manufacturing efforts.

Efficient water recycling helps reduce freshwater consumption while supporting more environmentally sustainable EV production.
