Tesla Cybercab Confirmed as Level 4 Autonomous Vehicle

Tesla’s newly released First Responder Interaction Plan classifies the Cybercab Robotaxi as a Level 4 autonomous vehicle. It operates without a human driver during passenger trips, charging, cleaning, and repositioning, while also detecting emergency vehicles, recognizing first responder hand signals, and communicating with responders through external microphones and speakers.

The Cybercab showcases how autonomous vehicles are evolving to safely interact with emergency personnel while moving closer to large-scale driverless ride-hailing.

The Cybercab can recognize police hand signals, pull over for emergency vehicles, and call remote support… meanwhile, I’m still trying to remember where I parked my own car.
