Terrorists Att£ck Chibok Community, Burn Churches and Homes Ahead of Easter in Borno state, Nigeria

Suspected terrorists have launched a fresh attack on Kwapul community, invading the area on the eve of Easter Sunday and setting properties on fire.

According to reports by Sahara Reporters, the attackers burned a church and several homes in what residents described as a coordinated assault on the predominantly Christian community.

Although no lives were reportedly lost during the incident, the destruction has left many residents shaken.

Locals said the attackers “operated for hours without resistance,” raising concerns about security response in the area.

This incident adds to a long history of violence in Chibok, which gained global attention following the Chibok schoolgirls abduction, where more than 270 schoolgirls were taken from their dormitories by insurgents.

The latest attack has renewed fears about ongoing insecurity in northeastern Nigeria, especially during significant religious periods like Easter.
