Suspected Terrorist Surrenders to Nigerian Troops in Borno Through Chadian Forces

Troops of the 152 Task Force Battalion in Banki, Borno State, have taken custody of a suspected terrorist who surrendered to the Chadian Defence Forces (CDF) before being handed over to Nigerian authorities.

The development was disclosed by security analyst and Lake Chad counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, in a post shared on his X handle.

According to the report, the male suspect claimed to be an indigene of Monguno Local Government Area of Borno State. He was handed over to Nigerian troops at about 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

The suspect was reportedly transferred by the CM Intelligence Service of the Bargaram Division of the Chadian Defence Forces.

He is currently in the custody of Nigerian troops, where he is expected to undergo profiling and interrogation before further action is taken in accordance with established security procedures.
