Super Falcons star Okoronkwo wins AFC Toronto POTM award

Super Falcons forward Esther Okoronkwo has been named AFC Toronto’s Player of the Month for September following a string of impressive performances.

The 27-year-old striker scored four goals and provided two assists in four league appearances for the Canadian club during the month.

Okoronkwo netted the decisive goal in AFC Toronto’s 1–0 victory over Halifax, before bagging two goals and an assist in a 7–0 rout of Vancouver.

She was also on target in the 1–1 draw against Halifax and capped off the month by assisting the winning goal in another 1–0 triumph over Ottawa.

Her consistent form has made her one of AFC Toronto’s standout performers so far this season.
