Banyana Banyana of South Africa coach Desiree Ellis has said she wants her team to score first in tonight’s 2024 Olympics playoff against Super Falcons as they aim to qualify for the summer games.

“We have to be the first team to score,” declared a bullish Ellis ahead of the return leg playoff.

“That will bring us on equal pegging after we lost the first game 1-0 in Abuja.”

Ellis, who has been in charge of the Banyana Banyana for the past 10 years, has therefore urged the fans to troop the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria to cheer the team to a historic victory.

“We need the fans to come out in their numbers because we play for them,” she enjoined.

“We want you to celebrate with us, we want a packed stadium.”

Hosts South Africa will also be counting on the high altitude in Pretoria to work against the Super Falcons tonight.

Kick-off today is 7.30 pm South African time, which is 6.30 pm Nigeria time.

The match will be shown live by Supersport channel 204.
