Semifinals set for ROH Women’s Pure Championship tournament

It has been a long road for the ROH Women’s Pure Championship tournament, and the semifinals are finally here. Four wrestlers remain for the honor to become the inaugural titleholder.

Serena Deeb was a favorite to win the prize, or at least make some noise. In a surprising result, the Professor was bounced out in the quarterfinals by Yuka Sakazaki. Deeb used all three of her rope-breaks through the match. In the end, Sakazaki executed a hammerlock airplane spin slam. Deeb placed her foot on the ropes during the pinfall, but she had no more rope-breaks. The win went to the Magical Girl.

Quarterfinals continued in the #ROH Women’s Pure Title Tournament, where @YukaSakazaki outlasted @SerenaDeeb to advance to the next round!

The other favorite based on technical skill is Deonna Purrazzo. The Virtuosa advanced past Trish Adora via double armbar.

Billie Starkz squeaked out the victory of Olympia. Starkz countered the CMLL powerhouse into a crucifix pin.

The ROH Women’s Pure Title Tournament continued as Olympia battled @BillieStarkz. Starkz prevailed and moved on to the next round!

Queen Aminata won the opening contest of the tournament over Taya Valkyrie at Death Before Dishonor. Aminata blasted a headbutt to knock La Wera Loca silly.

The road to crowning the first #ROH Women’s Pure Champion began as @thetayavalkyrie faced @amisylle. Aminata scored the victory to advance in the tournament!
