Robert Burale Slaps Ex-Wife, Alex Mwakideu, with Ksh 20M Suit

Popular city preacher and motivational speaker Robert Burale has sued his ex-wife Rozina Mwakideu and her brother Alex Mwakideu over a viral YouTube interview that surfaced in recent days.

In a suit filed on October 8, 2025, Burale accused the two siblings of publishing false statements in a video uploaded on the Alex Mwakideu TV YouTube channel on October 4, titled “My Biggest Mistake Was Marrying Robert Burale.

Through Mwale and Bietta Advocates, Burale filed the suit before the Chief Magistrate’s Court in Milimani. He stated that the accusations made against him by his ex-wife were malicious and intended to damage his reputation.

Burale further accused media personality Alex Mwakideu of failing to verify the allegations before uploading the interview online. The city pastor claims that the video caused immediate harm to his image.

Robert Burale has asked the court to order the removal of the video, compel both Alex and Rozinah Mwakideu to issue a public apology, and award him Ksh 20 million in damages for loss of credibility and emotional distress.

“That, pending the hearing and determination of this application inter partes, an order of injunction be and is hereby granted compelling the defendant/respondent, whether by himself or agents, to forthwith pull down and/or delete each post containing parts/in toto of the contents in the video…and any of its related content,” reads part of the petition

The video has around 650,000 views on YouTube so far, and parts of the interview have gone viral online.
