The businesses that will take part in President Bola Tinubu’s agreed 50% reduction in interstate transport fares have been made public by the Presidency.

On Wednesday, Tinubu gave his approval for the reduction in addition to the free train travel for Nigerians from Thursday, December 21, 2023, until January 4, 2024.

While making this announcement to State House Correspondents on Wednesday at the Aso Rock Villa, Minister of Solid Minerals Development Dele Alake stated that Nigerians who are eager to travel can board public transportation via minibuses and luxury buses at a 50% reduction off the present fare.

The five participating transport companies in the initiative have been made public by Bayo Onanuga, President Bola Tinubu’s Special Advisor on Information and Strategy.

Onanuga mentioned GIG (God is Good), Chisco Transport, Young Shall Grow, God Bless Ezenwata, and Area Motor in a post on X on Thursday.

“Participating companies in the FG’s plan to reduce the transport burden of five million Nigerians who travel” was what he wrote.
