Protest by Retired Police Officers Due to Unpaid Pensions [VIDEO]

Several retired police officers who are part of the contributory pension scheme have taken to the streets of Abuja in protest of their longstanding unpaid pensions.

A video posted on Channels TV’s X handle showcased the retirees marching while holding placards and chanting, “We demand our rightful dues”.

Hailing from different state branches, they voiced their discontent with the financial struggles their colleagues were facing as a result of PENCOM’s failure to disburse their entitled funds.

The retirees are calling on the Federal Government to consider exempting them from the contributory pension system.
