Promom raises Rs 30 crore from Fireside Ventures to expand maternal and baby care

Maternal and baby care brand Promom has announced that it has raised Rs 30 crore in a funding round led by Fireside Ventures. The brand said it will use the investment to develop new products, expand its maternal and baby care portfolio and increase access to its offerings across India. Founded in 2023 by Anavi Kalia, Manas Tripathi and Aditya Srivastava, Promom initially focused on products designed to address feeding-related challenges faced by mothers and young children. Promom said the experience highlighted a wider gap in the maternal and infant care market, particularly between expensive international brands and domestic alternatives that may offer inconsistent quality and performance. Promom co-founder Manas Tripathi said the company was created in response to challenges the founders encountered during their own parenting journey. “As new parents, we struggled to find products that were trustworthy, thoughtfully designed and truly suited to the realities of raising a young child

“As new parents, we struggled to find products that were trustworthy, thoughtfully designed and truly suited to the realities of raising a young child in India. We started by addressing feeding challenges because they were among the most immediate and critical needs we faced ourselves, but our vision has always extended far beyond that,” he said.

Tripathi said Promom aimed to support families through pregnancy, postpartum care and the early years of a child’s life.

“With Fireside Ventures joining us on this journey, we are excited to accelerate product innovation, expand our reach and make Promom a trusted household name for millions of Indian families,” he added.

Promom develops and refines its products in consultation with mothers, doctors and lactation consultants, using customer feedback and personal experiences to guide product design. Its products are intended to combine quality, functionality and affordability for Indian families.
