Pro-President Bola Ahmed Tinubu support groups, Amprance Alliance and Jagaban Apex Alliance, on Saturday declared total support for President Tinubu’s second-term ambition, insisting that there is “No Vacancy in Aso Villa” ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The groups also endorsed former governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, for the Edo South Senatorial seat, saying he remains the best choice to represent the district in the Senate in 2027.

The endorsement was made during a strategic meeting held at the private residence of Ize-Iyamu, where leaders and members of the groups from across the country converged to mobilise support for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda and the APC ahead of future elections.

Speaking during the gathering, leaders of the coalition, Mr. Buchi Nwanbare and Dr. Ahmed Abdullahi, unanimously adopted the slogan: “No Vacancy in Aso Villa,” maintaining that President Tinubu deserves another four years to consolidate ongoing reforms and economic policies.

“We believe President Tinubu should be given another mandate to complete the reforms he has courageously initiated for the growth and stability of Nigeria,” they stated.

The groups also threw their weight behind Ize-Iyamu’s senatorial ambition with the campaign message: “Ize-Iyamu for Senate, Abuja Direct, 2027 Assured,” describing him as a unifying political figure with the experience to attract development to Edo South.

Addressing the supporters, Ize-Iyamu commended President Tinubu for what he described as bold and courageous leadership despite criticisms from some quarters.

He said the administration’s policies were already yielding results, citing the free cancer treatment programme at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, UBTH, which, according to him, has benefited over 800 patients.

He also praised Governor Monday Okpebholo for acknowledging federal government support towards infrastructure development in Edo State.

Ize-Iyamu, who accepted his appointment as National Patron of the alliance, thanked members for their commitment to the Renewed Hope agenda and pledged to work closely with them for the development of Edo State.

The endorsement comes as political activities intensify within the APC ahead of the Edo South Senatorial primary election slated for May 18, 2026, where Ize-Iyamu is expected to battle Senator Neda Imasuen and Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama for the party’s ticket.
