Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie avoid putting relationship with royal cousins 'in jeopardy'

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie avoid putting their relationship with their royal cousins "in jeopardy" with their choice of attire, a style expert has claimed.

At Christmas this year, the York sisters "played it neutral" when it came to their style choices.

Unlike Kate, Princess of Wales, who beamed in royal blue, Beatrice and Eugenie blended much more into the background.

Princess Beatrice, 35, wore navy, while Princess Eugenie, 33, donned a black outfit on the Sandringham Estate.

This could be because the York Princesses are not working royals, and therefore do not want to take the spotlight away from their more senior cousins and their spouses.

Jennifer Von Walderdorff, a Sustainable Fashion Consultant, spoke exclusively to GB News to analyse Beatrice and Eugenie's looks from Christmas Day.

She said: "Beatrice and Eugenie showed a message of solidarity on Christmas.

"It is clear they have stayed on good terms with their cousins and see no reason to put that in jeopardy.

"Therefore, the sisters played it neutral this year."

Princess Beatrice wore a Maje Paris Recycled Wool-Blend Belted Overcoat in Navy, as she walked beside her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

She paired the coat with "Faeni" Thigh-High Black Suede Boots from the same brand.

To accessorise, the mother-of-one wore a JBH Millinery "Mildred" Navy Velvet Headband, which cost £495.

Meanwhile, Eugenie enjoyed Christmas Day wearing a By Malene Birger "Sirrenas" Long Wool Coat in Black.

This coat is currently down from £850 to £510 in the Boxing Day sales.

In addition, the mother-of-two donned LK Bennett Sumner Black Suede Boots while walking beside her husband, Jack Brooksbank.

Finally, the princess opted to wear a new Emily-London white headband to add some contrast to her black outfit.
