President Donald Trump Moves to Eliminate Taxes in Four Key Areas

The United States President Donald Trump has announced major progress on what he calls “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill,” promising sweeping tax cuts to revitalise the economy.

In a post shared on his Truth account, Trump revealed his plans to eliminate taxes on tips, seniors’ social security, overtime tax and much more.

According to him, the elimination of taxes in these areas will be a big win for the middle- and working class in the US. 

“It will be the biggest tax cut for middle- and working-class Americans by far, and it is time for Main Street to win. Make America great again,” he noted.

From the US tax system, the reform requires congressional approval, and currently, there is no official bill that has been submitted to Congress under the title Trump referenced in his shared post.

The president’s team has also not released an official policy document to accompany the announcement.

Social Media Reactions

This has evoked reactions on the social media platform, with a section of users in the United States expressing their excitement over the proposal.

“Inflation is already dropping, manufacturing & high paying jobs are returning to the U.S., DOGE is eliminating the waste and fraud, nations are lining up to make tariff deals saving us even more money and the Big Beautiful Bill will be the icing on the cake,” says @CrazyCatRescuer, a Truth Social user.

Amidst the excitements and praises on President trump, the nation is waiting for the congress members to act on the bill and pass it.

Negative reactions

But the bill has equally attracted criticism, with a section of users questioning the practicality of the tax exemptions. 

In the arguments, some people are against the bill, arguing that the ‘The One Big Beautiful Bill” eliminates some income streams that significantly reduced the strain on entitlement programs like social security among others.

On his part, an opposer @ flyonthewallll claims that Trumps’ idea off scrapping off the taxes lacks a legislative backing while others said that he did not mention how the government was going to finance the proposed exemptions.

“You’re a pathological liar and nobody should believe your crap. Tax cuts for the middle class is complete BS, and you know it! Stop lying to your uneducated followers,” he commented.

On the other hand, supporters claim that putting more money directly into the pockets of the working Americans will be of great impact as it is going to reduce on the dependency on the available government aids.
