Please don’t forget us in the bush — Bandits release new video of abducted principal in Oyo State

A new video reportedly released by the kidnappers holding pupils and teachers abducted in Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State has surfaced online, showing the victims pleading for urgent intervention from the government.

In the video, the abducted school principal, identified as Mrs. Alamu, appealed to the Nigerian government and prominent leaders for immediate assistance to secure their release.

She specifically called on Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Seyi Makinde to intervene and help rescue them safely.

According to her, the abductors are becoming increasingly impatient, raising fears about the safety of the victims.

Mrs. Alamu urged the Oyo State Government to consider direct negotiations with the kidnappers in order to prevent harm and secure the release of the captives.

Speaking emotionally in the video, she said:

“President Tinubu, Governor Seyi and every other wellmeaning Nigerians, please help us. You don’t need force. All you have to do is negotiate with them to release us. We are in the cold. We are under the sun, under the rain. The children and the adults as well.

“Please we are begging. Don’t let them waste our lives. They are getting impatient and frustrated. Please help us. We are begging you in the name of God. Please help us. Don’t leave us here. Don’t forget us in the bush.”
