In the early history of the Chevrolet Corvette, there are some important names. For the second generation they include Bill Mitchell, Zora Arkus-Duntov, then automotive designers Peter Brock and Chuck Pohlman. Under the styling direction of Bill Mitchell, Brock and Pohlman created the Corvette Stingray, which initially came with a split rear window design.
