PDP Will End APC Rule In 2027 – Makinde

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will reclaim Nigeria’s presidency and consolidate its political dominance in the 2027 general elections.

Makinde made the statement on Monday, during the PDP State Congress held at the Basketball Arena of the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan.

The event was attended by party executives, delegates, and stakeholders from all 33 local government areas of the state.

The governor expressed confidence that the PDP, which currently controls Oyo State, would not only retain power in the state but also return to the presidency.

He commended the party for conducting its ward, local government, and state congresses peacefully and transparently, stressing that the unity shown was a reflection of the party’s readiness for future elections.

“The executives that emerge from this process have a clear mandate to deliver PDP victories across all positions in 2027, from the presidency down to the councillorship level,” Makinde said.

He reassured party members in Oyo State who are yet to benefit from his administration that their sacrifices and contributions would be duly rewarded.

“I congratulate all of us in advance because in this party, no effort will be wasted. We will all share in the fruits of our labour,” he added.

Makinde further stressed that the exercise was part of a deliberate plan to strengthen the PDP.

“This congress is not just a routine; it is our strategy to consolidate and dominate. The PDP is ready to lead Nigeria again, and with our unity, nothing can stop us,” he stated.

He urged members to remain steadfast, noting, “Together, we will reclaim the presidency, and together, we will secure every level of government in 2027.”
