The advancement of 7194 Inspectors of Police to the rank of Assistant Superintendents of Police, ASP 11, has been given the green light by the Police Service Commission.

In a press statement, Ikechukwu Ani, the Head of the Press and Public Relations, announced that these officers successfully completed the Inspectors Board interview held at various Police Zonal Command Headquarters across the nation.

Congratulating the newly elevated officers, Chairman of the Commission, DIG Hashimu Argungu rtd, emphasized that their new roles demand a heightened level of dedication to national service.

DIG Argungu expressed that the timing of their promotion is fitting, as they should now be adequately inspired to give their utmost in serving their country.

He acknowledged the ongoing positive reforms in Nigeria that may have caused some temporary disruptions and public discontent, urging the officers to collaborate in safeguarding the nation’s emerging democracy.

Among the list of promoted officers are Ejiogu Eunice, Tiedei Deizigha, Falade Kayode, Agorua Chinedu, Noel Atuwa, Simon Oguche, Mohammed Maikuma, Somalia Maisamari, A’aron Gama’Àiki, and Adesina Bosede.

Also included are Otoboh Theophilus, Olaifa Idowu, Abdullahi Yari, Labaran Musa, Benedict Mamman, and Gaiyu Sharafa.

Inspectors Maureen Odogie, Oboh Samuel George, Anthony Oliver, Amos Noku, Justin Boniface, Cleopas Kosulo, and Daniel Eneche have also advanced to the next rank.

The approval of the Commission has been relayed to the Inspector General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, for execution.
