Opay has rolled out a new protective  feature for the security of customers ‘ funds.

The Need

The financial landscape has consistently faced  the challenge of security.  

This  poses a huge concern not just for the fintech companies but also  for their customers who worry about the capacity of these financial platforms to secure their funds.

The  traditional security features like the two-factor verification, PINs, USSD strings and OTP have no doubt played their roles as primary protective measures.

The Nightguard Feature

The Nightguard feature helps users  to prevent unauthorized access to their accounts and funds during the night

With The Nightguard feature,  users can  set a timeframe between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM during which any transfer attempts will require enhanced identity verification. 

Transfers initiated within the set  timeframe would require facial recognition to be completed.

This  feature is unique to the OPay App.
