#OccupyNASS Protest: We Don’t Want Glitch Again — Peter Obi Tells Senate [VIDEO]

Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, on Monday led a group of protesters to the National Assembly to demand urgent electoral reforms.

Obi, accompanied by several supporters including activist Aisha Yesufu, was seen at the entrance of the parliamentary complex as the demonstrators pressed their demands.

Addressing the crowd, Obi said, “The danger was clear. We have suffered the danger. That’s what we have suffered before. We don’t want any glitch again. This is finished. We want things to come back to normal. No more glitch.”

He further emphasised the simplicity of the demands, adding, “Simple transmission. It’s not a difficult thing. Allow the election to go through the normal process. Whoever wins, we will accept. So why are you bringing in all sorts of confusion?”

The protest, part of the ongoing “Occupy NASS” movement, comes amid growing calls for transparency and efficiency in the electoral process, particularly regarding the electronic transmission of results.
