Obi Cubana officially joins Tinubu 2027 re-election campaign team

Billionaire businessman and entrepreneur, Obinna Iyiegbu aka Obi Cubana, has officially joined President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election campaign team.

In a video shared online, Cubana received a letter of recognition and appointment as the South East Regional Director of the City Boy Movement.

In a video seen by Dockaysworld, Obi Cubana was visibly excited as he sang, “Bola on your mandate, I shall stand,” moments after being presented with the appointment letter by Seyi Tinubu, the son of the president. 

The development comes after weeks of speculation, as the movement had earlier announced the businessman as its South East regional director.

However, Obi Cubana had not publicly acknowledged or accepted the appointment despite varying reactions.

While some supported his decision to back the president’s re-election bid, others condemned his involvement in partisan politics, particularly with the ruling party.

Others also claimed the position was too minor and insulting to his standing in the community.

As preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum, analysts and members of the electorate are paying close attention to political alignments that could influence the outcome of the polls.
