Here’s a place to check results and comment along with the newest episode of WWE NXT, airing live on Tuesday night in the 8 pm ET time slot on CW.

Advertised for tonight: It’s time to finish up qualifiers for the NXT championship ladder match scheduled for early next month. That means three more matches: Myles Borne vs. Dion Lennox, Joe Hendry vs. Jackson Drake, and Keanu Carver vs. Andre Chase.

Plus, DarkState will defend the tag team titles against OTM. Elsewhere, we can reasonably expect some kind of update on Tony D’Angelo after he was arrested last week, what’s next for Jaida Parker and Blake Monroe, and a whole lot more.

Come right back here at 8 pm ET when the NXT live blog kicks off once the show starts on CW. A running record of everything that happens will be below this line here.

Enjoy the show!

WWE NXT RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR JAN. 27

The fighting’s started, the war’s just begun. Screaming soldiers blindly run, smoke and fire claiming your last friend, but me? I’m just here to liveblog this pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with Joe Hendry’s music playing but no Joe Hendry.

We cut backstage where the Vanity Project are standing over him with a chair saying they have no idea what happened when Ava Raine tries to sort things out. She calls some folks to shuffle things around and make sure the show goes on.

Tony D’Angelo is shown walking outstage with security in tow.

Ricky Saints is on commentary being obnoxious and walks up and leaves when he’s told the tag title match is up first now.

Darkstate (Osiris Griffin & Saquon Shugars) (c) vs. OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price) (NXT Men’s Tag Team Championship)

Shugars and Nima to start, Saquon gets him in the corner and stirs it up, Bronco shoves him into the next corner and then again, duck under the body avalanche, Shugars tries to slide low and gets caught in a waistlock! Tag to Price, he drops Saquon with a big headbutt, Griffin gets involved and the match breaks down as Darkstate take a breather on the floor.

Back inside, Osiris cuts Nima off, straight suplex, we see Hank and Tank watching backstage, whip across, Bronco nails Griffin with a boot, Price on the cover, only two! Lucien with scoops and slams, tag to Nima, body blow, Osiris rolls away from a fist drop and tags out! Bronco with a straight suplex, a delayed vertical, keeping ahold over it but Shugars blocks with a knee to the face!

Tag to Griffin, Nima gets rammed into the corner and dropkicked, OTM take control and Bronco Buster Saquon over the middle rope as we go to break!

Back from commercial, Darkstate with a neckbreaker / back suplex combination but Nima kicks out! Shugars working a spinning toehold, kicked aside, back at it, dragon screw conects, corkscrew slingshot splash from Griffin and nobody’s home! Nima kicks Osiris away, both men go for crossbodies and end up down and out!

Tags made, Price lighting ’em up with lariats, hip toss, big overhand chop, corner lariats, pop-up big boot, Rock Bottom puts Shugars into his teammate, cover… NOPE! Vanity Project run in, Shugars with a folding press and feet on the ropes…

Darkstate win by pinfall with a folding press and feet on the ropes from Saquon Shugars on Lucien Price, retaining the NXT Men’s Tag Team Championship.

Post-match, Hank and Tank and Chase U join the fray as things become a brawl involving about the entire tag division!

The Culling attack Darkstate in the ring and beat them down! Assisted Impaler DDT on Griffin!

We get footage from last week of Nikkita Lyons singing at Blake Monroe in the locker room to… align… her and offer her moral support, saying she’s been through so much and reading her energy, which Blake assumes means she’s offering help but Lyons says she just needs sage and grass-touching and she’ll offer a gift from the Divine Feline of the Universe and she’ll face off against Jaida Parker.

And so we go to break.

Jaida Parker vs. Nikkita Lyons

Parker in control in the feeling out, arm wringers, wrenching away, into a standing armbar, shot off, but Jaida just catches her in a reverse chinlock on the rebound. Arm wringer, back to the armbar, whip across, lariat gets Parker a nearfall! Lyons hung in the turnbuckles, a kick and the seated senton, Jaida high-stepping, charging in, Hipnotic connects! Hooking her in a Cobra Twist position…

Jaida Parker wins by pinfall a Cobra Twist powerbomb.

Post-match, Blake Monroe appears on the tron on her couch.

She tells Parker nobody takes her spotlight and gets away with it and she’ll be seeing her very soon.

Jaida tells Blake via the camera that she knows exactly where to find her.

We get “earlier today” footage of Tavion Heights congratulating Elio Lefleur and Eli Knight on their NXT debuts.

Lexis King, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, and Arianna Grace roll up.

King says the newbies shouldn’t take advice from Heights because he’s squandered every opportunity he’s ever gotten, whereas he and Stacks aren’t waiting anymore, they’re taking. The bickering gets more intense and we go to break.

Back from commercial, the Elegance Brand cut a promo backstage about how they’re never losing the Knockouts tag titles.

Backstage, Zaria is on the phone with Sol Ruca to complain about the Elegance Brand promo and to ask where she is before hanging up frustrated.

Thea Hail rolls up to offer some sympathy and Zaria gives her guff for stumbling on a title. Hail says she earned it and Zaria shouldn’t take it out on her just because she’s upset Sol isn’t here, they bicker and I think we made a match.

“All Ego” Ethan Page rolls up on Myles Borne backstage.

All Ego tells Myles this is his chance to show the world whether he’s righteous or ruthless and Dion Lennox doesn’t care about the rules and that’s why he’s a champion, and Myles needs to do whatever it takes. Borne tells him not to worry about how he handles his business.

Ricky Saints rolls up to say he’s gonna be in the front row and Borne tells him if he sees him out there he’s gonna whoop his ass.

Dion Lennox makes his entrance to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Ava Raine is on the phone telling someone she supports whatever decision they make.

Vanity Project roll up to ask how Joe Hendry is doing and act mock surprised and sad when he’s hurt.

They insist she can’t prove it was them and Jackson Drake says she said herself NXT is anybody’s game and they’re just trying to make a splash.

With Joe hurt, she reluctantly gives Jackson Drake his spot in the ladder match but bans Swipe Right from ringside for it and additionally says that if Joe Hendry gets cleared before next week, he’ll ALSO be in the match.

Dion Lennox vs. Myles Borne (NXT Men’s Championship Qualifying Match)

Post-match, Ethan Page berates Borne for not winning or taking his advice, and Myles grabs the title belt and cracks him in the skull with it!

Ricky Saints is chatting with Ava Raine about what a problem Keanu Carver is gonna be when Tony D’Angelo walks up. Saints carries on, asking her to make sure nobody ruins the match next week and keeps him from becoming a two-time champion before walking off.

Raine says despite walking around like a wildcard, NXT needs Tony and she needs to know if he’s in or out. He says he had to get attention somehow and he’ll let everyone know his intentions next week and this isn’t the same Tony D’Angelo.

As he walks away she warns him not to interfere in the ladder match next week.

Tavion Heights makes his entrance to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Chase U are bickering.

Uriah Connors says he’s just trying to make his own opportunities after trying it Mr. Chase’s way over and over again. Andre says he doesn’t have time and has to get ready for his qualifying match later tonight.

Lexis King rolls up on Uriah after they leave and says he’s been listening and his father (Fit Finlay, if y’all didn’t know) should be proud, because he knows his would be.

Lexis King vs. Tavion Heights

Heights with the powerslam out the gates… SO CLOSE! King trips him up in the ropes, springboard crossbody, cover, Tavion rolls through and hosses him up, toss him up into a shoulder gutbuster before dropping him into the powerslam! Heights punching away in the corner, big back elbow, Lexis dumps him through the ropes!

We see Zaria getting ready backstage to send us to break.

Back from commercial, we get a video package celebrating Finn Balor’s career from NXT up through the main roster.

Thea Hail vs. Zaria

Izzi Dame is on commentary for this one.

Hail hot out the gates, taking Zaria down with a side headlock, shot off, Zaria with a headlock of her own, Thea steps up the ropes to fight out! Hip toss, back to the headlock, Zaria throws her aside and nails her with a back elbow! Fireman’s carry, slip out, shotgun dropkick sends Zaria to the floor and Hail dives on her!

Back inside, Thea going for the double wristlock, denied, la casadora, Zaria throws her into the ropes and blasts her down with a boot! Clutching her arm, we go to break.

Back from commercial, Hail putting it together, uppercut in the corner, superkick cuts Zaria off, snap swinging neckbreaker, cover for two! Back suplex from Zaria, Thea with an armbar takedown, trying to get the double wristlock, stepping over Zaria’s head and she has it locked in! Zaria fights out with a slam, charges in with a spear, fireman’s carry countered to a DDT!

Thea still in it, Zaria cuts her down with a headbutt! Tatum Paxley attacks Izzi Dame at the booth, fighting through the ring, Zaria distracted…

Thea Hail wins by pinfall with a folding press.

Post-match, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid approach the ring, Thea Hail tells Zaria she’s got her back but Zaria just F-5s her for her trouble!

We see Keanu Carver brooding backstage to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Wren Sinclair and Charlie Dempsey are talking strategy but Kendal Grey is miles away.

She says she still thinks she can beat Jacy Jayne for the title, but is interrupted when Lexis King, Arianna Grace, and Stacks roll up to try and recruit Charlie for Legacy 2.0 or whatever it is they’re doing.

Andre Chase vs. Keanu Carver (NXT Men’s Championship Qualifying Match)

Carver taking control right off with shoulder blocks in the corner, kicks from Chase and Keanu shoves him off the turnbuckles and to the floor! Grinding Andre’s face into the post, back inside, Chase wades in with back elbows, cut off with a knee, Carver with a snap suplex for two! Whip reversed, tilt-a-whirl Russian legsweep, Keanu blocks with an elbow.

Tornado DDT out of the corner, Chase right back up top, diving crossbody connects… NOPE! To the floor, Andre fired up and throwing Carver over the announce desk only for Keanu to slam him on it in return! Back inside, scoop lift…

Keanu Carver wins by pinfall with a spinning powerslam, qualifying for the NXT Men’s Championship ladder match.

Post-match, Carver smashes Chase’s face into the bottom turnbuckle over and over, taking the turnbuckle pad off for the last one for good measure and then dragging him out to the steps and stomping his face into the diamond plate!

Keanu gets on the mic and says he’s gonna pack everybody up in the ladder match next week.

Shiloh Hill is watching backstage and he thinks it’s gonna be awesome and we go to break.

Back from commercial, the contenders in next week’s ladder match (sans Ricky Saints) are in the ring chatting.

Shiloh Hill talks about how cool what Keanu did was, Dion Lennox says he won’t be jumped in line, Sean Legacy says he’s the new guy but he’s here and he has nothing to lose and it’s the biggest opportunity of his life and he’s gonna be a little bit crazy and reckless. Jackson Drake cuts him off and says that’s why his dumb ass is gonna choke.

Drake says he could be a human highlight reel no problem but he’s calculated and didn’t need to break a sweat to get into the match and when he wins, he’s gonna pour one out for J– the guy he was supposed to compete against tonight, and they all be able to say they saw him climb the ladder and be the youngest double champ in NXT history.

Enter Ricky Saints, carrying a ladder to remind you of how a ladder match works.

He sets it up in the ramp and climbs it, saying the view is beautiful and looking down he sees a lot of potential but they’re the seeds that have not sprouted yet while he’s the rose sprouted from the concrete jungle and that’s why he’s gonna be a two-time champion.

Carver rightfully says they’re doing too much talking and he doesn’t want to wait until next week, and a brawl breaks out in the ring! Legacy and Drake crossbody to the floor, Keanu shoves Shiloh into Lennox and then out of the ring, Ricky rams Carver out of the ring and climbs the ladder to take the belt down by example and Vic Joseph says his name and Joe Hendry appears!

Hendry limps into the ring and hits the Standing Ovation on Ricky! Carver slides in and hits the spinning powerslam, standing tall over Hendry while everyone writhes in pain.

Commentary hypes up next week’s show.

That’s the show, folks.
