NXT beats TNA in series of matches on Impact

Santino Marella had enough of the NXT invasion into TNA, so he hatched a plan to welcome them into his trap for payback. Unfortunately for TNA, the NXT crew beat them in a series of matches on Impact (Dec. 4, 2025).

The action started with the Home Town Man against Brooks Jensen, who was accompanied by Lexis King. Home Town Man had momentum to hit Sliced Bread. King hopped onto the apron as a distraction. Home Town Man delivered a suicide dive. As Home Town Man reentered the ring, King grabbed his foot. That was the opening Jensen needed for a rolling heel kick to win.

Next up was Mike Santana versus Robert Stone. This had squash written all over it, despite Stone’s intimidation tactics flapping his arms like an eagle. Stone got the upper hand by attacking before the bell. Once they entered the ring, Santana stopped short on a back body drop attempt from Stone to unleash the Spin the Block lariat for victory. I don’t know what the official match time is, but the whole fight with the action before the bell fits into a two-minute clip. Half of the clip is Santana’s entrance.

The main event was an 8-man tag team match with Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Steve Maclin, and Cedric Alexander against Lexis King, Stacks, Tyson DuPont, and Tyriek Igwe. Santino hyped up the TNA squad with a pep talk. Santino almost passed out from the intensity.

The match broke down on the finish. The Hardys executed Poetry in Motion into the corner on Stacks. Maclin was next doing Jeff’s dance before exploding for a spear in the tree of woe. High Ryze pulled the Hardys out of the ring. Alexander came to their aid for a dive outside onto Dupont and Igwe. With all that commotion, King blindsided Maclin with his magic stick. Stacks rolled up Maclin to steal the win. NXT has bragging rights on this evening.

The battle between TNA and NXT rages on at Final Resolution on Friday, December 5. The Hardys defend the TNA tag titles against High Ryze, Maclin puts international gold on the line against Stacks, and Santana continues his mean streak against Charlie Dempsey.

TNA posted video of the full 8-man tag team match from Impact.
