The Benue State Government has assured of its continued support for Nigeria Premier Football League club, Lobi Stars.

The commissioner for Youth, Sports and Creativity in the state, Mr Terkimbi Ikyange, disclosed this after the Lobi Stars away victory in Yenagoa.

Mr Ikyange acknowledged the strong will and commitment demonstrated by the club in the NPFL campaign.

He added that the state government is determined to consolidate the efforts of the team on the NPFL table.

Lobi Stars currently top the standings with 13 points from seven games.

The Pride of Benue will lock horns with Sporting Lagos on matchday eight at the Lafia City Stadium.
