“Not Every Actor Has To Dance To Promote Movie” – Stan Nze

Nollywood actor Stan Nze has opened up about the pressures of content creation, the importance of storytelling, and his stance on nudity in films.

In an interview with Sunday Scoop, the Rattlesnake star reflected on the impact of social media on actors.

“Some actors say it is putting them under pressure. However, we will sell our market. People just need to diversify and start thinking outside the box. Not everybody has to dance. However, a movie must be marketed. You need eyeballs on your movie. It would be irresponsible for a producer to make a movie and not market it,” Nze said.

He stressed that actors and filmmakers should always give audiences value for their time and money.

“Content is king. My advice is that they should have something they are offering people. There is a lot of attention on Nollywood now. There’s nothing wrong with people providing content,” he added.

On the difficulties that screenwriters and producers face under tight deadlines, Nze commented: “People are telling a lot of great stories. However, we need to spend more time creating these stories. One of the major problems is that people have to release a movie at a certain time, so it limits the writer. I’ve been in that situation. There was a time I had to release a movie for Father’s Day because it was time-sensitive.”

When asked about roles he would avoid, Nze made his position clear: “I will probably never go nude because I don’t see the need for it,” he stated.
