Nollywood is a dirty industry, I won’t allow anybody use me – Kunle Remi blows hot

Popular Nollywood actor, Kunle Remi, has lamented about the Nigerian movie industry being ‘dirty’ and exploitative.

He bemoaned how key players in the industry try to use promising young actors and actresses, but when that fails, they block or unfollow the person(s).

Kunle Remi, a former Gulder Ultimate Search winner, stated through his Twitter account that he will not allow himself to be used by anybody.

It may be recalled that there was outrage months ago when his name was not called as one of the winners in the 2023 African Magic Viewers Choice (AMVCA) despite his outstanding performance in the movie ‘Anikulapo’.

In his tweet on Thursday, Kunle sent a message to the big players in the industry that ‘I still no gree’ stressing that he will only give his soul to God.

He wrote: “Petty, dirty industry if they can’t use you, they will block or unfollow you. Shiorrr.. It’s only God I give my soul to and allow to use me anyhow and anyway. Everyone or thing that is not God can REST! See you in the future.. oh ye users. I still no go gree.”
