Nollywood Actress Foluke Daramola and Husband Allegedly Separate After Over a Decade Together

Veteran Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola Salako and her husband, Kayode Salako, who have been married for more than a decade, are reportedly going their separate ways, insiders claim.

According to sources familiar with the matter, the couple’s marriage had been under strain for some time, leading to a split that has largely been kept out of public view. Kayode is said to have moved back to be with his first family, while Foluke is reportedly involved in a new relationship based in Abuja.

Insiders revealed that the separation is not recent, suggesting that the couple has been living apart for nearly a year. They have, however, maintained a united public front, with sources indicating that Foluke’s political ambitions in Oshodi, Lagos, may have influenced their decision to keep the split private.

Despite appearances, close associates confirm that the marriage had long broken down, with both parties opting for discretion over publicity.

In a recent Instagram post, Foluke addressed questions surrounding her husband’s previous marriage, explaining that she met Kayode through legal channels and was unaware of his first wife at the time. While celebrating his birthday, she described her marriage as a partnership marked by mutual support, acknowledging their ups and downs and describing her 13-year marriage as “13 days,” a nod to its highs and lows.

Responding to accusations that she “snatched” her husband, Foluke clarified that his first wife left voluntarily. She also acknowledged that Kayode is a polygamist with children from multiple women but stressed that she remained his only legal spouse.

Foluke has previously opened up about her personal struggles, revealing in a 2023 TVC interview that she lost her virginity through rape, which caused her to develop a difficult relationship with sex. She noted that her first husband disregarded her trauma, expecting intimacy daily—a painful experience that shaped her views on relationships.
