The Oyo State Government has issued a public notice to residents across the state, assuring them of safety as a coordinated air display forms part of activities marking the 50th anniversary of Oyo State

According to the notice, the ceremonial air display will take place over major towns and surrounding areas including Ibadan, Ogbomosho, Oyo, Iseyin, Igbo-Ora, and other parts of the state. During this period, residents may observe aircraft flying overhead.

The government emphasized that the exercise is planned, ceremonial, and completely safe, urging citizens not to panic or raise unnecessary alarm. Residents are advised to remain calm and continue with their normal daily activities.

The air display is one of several events lined up to commemorate Oyo State at 50, celebrating the state’s history, unity, and progress under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde.

Authorities further appealed for the cooperation and understanding of the public to ensure a smooth and successful celebration.
