NNPCL reduces fuel price to N910 per litre

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has lowered the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol.

According to observations made on Saturday, NNPCL service stations located along Kubwa Expressway, Zone 4 in Abuja, and Gudu within the Federal Capital Territory, have reduced their petrol price from N935 to N910 per litre.

This marks a N20 reduction in the petrol price by the state-owned oil company.

Following the latest price cut, CREEBHILLS reports that many motorists have been flocking to NNPCL stations as of Saturday.

The price reduction is part of an ongoing pricing competition within the downstream segment of Nigeria’s petroleum sector.

Currently, MRS and other partners of Dangote Refinery are selling petrol at N910 per litre.

Previously, Dangote Refinery announced a reduction in its ex-depot petrol price to N835 per litre. Subsequently, it disclosed that its partners — including MRS, AP (Ardova), Heyden, Optima Energy, Hyde, and Techno Oil — would be offering petrol in the range of N890 to N920 per litre across cities like Lagos, Abuja, and others.

This move has disrupted pricing structures in the downstream petroleum market.

Meanwhile, CREEBHILLS notes that other filling stations continue to sell petrol at prices ranging between N930 and N950 per litre, depending on the area.

NNPCL had earlier adjusted its pump price to N935 per litre on April 20, 2025.
