Federal lawmaker, Princess Chinwe Nnabuife, has once again demonstrated her commitment to education by paying WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, and JAMB fees for indigent students from Orumba North and South Federal Constituency in Anambra State. The lawmaker, also known as Adaejiejemba, has also awarded admission into tertiary institutions for Orumba students.

Nnabuife, who represents Orumba North and South at the National Assembly, stated that investing in education is investing in the youth and the future. She made this known while marking the 2026 World Education Day, celebrated on January 24.

The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed the International Day of Education to highlight education’s role in peace and development, recognizing it as a human right and key to sustainable progress.

This year’s theme, “The Power of Youth in Co-creating Education,” focuses on empowering young people as active partners in shaping learning systems. Nnabuife emphasized the importance of giving youth real decision-making power and involving them in policy design, implementation, and leadership.

The lawmaker’s educational scholarship and support initiatives have been ongoing, aiming to bridge the gap for underprivileged students in her constituency. Her efforts have impacted numerous lives, providing opportunities for Orumba youths to access quality education.

Nnabuife greeted Orumba students and the entire Orumba people on the occasion of World Education Day, reaffirming her dedication to their educational development. Her actions demonstrate her belief in the transformative power of education.

The lawmaker’s initiative aligns with the UN’s emphasis on involving youth in shaping education systems to make them more inclusive, relevant, and future-ready. By doing so, education can meet the aspirations of young people and drive sustainable progress.

Through her efforts, Nnabuife hopes to inspire others to invest in education, recognizing its potential to shape the future of Orumba and Nigeria as a whole.
