The Nationwide League One (NLO), Nigeria’s primary regulatory body for grassroots football, has issued a firm reminder to all participating clubs regarding the mandatory requirements for the 2026 Pre-competition Medical Assessment (PCMA) Exercise. The directive underscores the NLO’s commitment to prioritising the health and safety of its athletes.

To ensure a streamlined process, clubs must meet stringent eligibility criteria before any individual can undergo medical screening. Topping the list is evidence of payment; only clubs that have fully settled their 2026 season registration and participation fees will be scheduled for the PCMA.

Furthermore, clubs must be in physical possession of their official player licenses. The NLO has warned that no player will be screened without a valid, NLO-issued license presented at the assessment point. Clubs failing to meet these two essential requirements upon arrival at the screening centre will be turned away, with no exceptions to the directive. This measure is crucial for maintaining the integrity of medical records and league documentation.

Clubs are urged to finalise payments or collect their licenses promptly from the NLO Secretariat or their respective Zonal Offices to avoid exclusion from the vital medical exercise.
