I was browsing Twitter X today and came across an interesting pair of tweets about the current WWE championship scene on Friday Night SmackDown. In short, it seems fairly obvious we are headed for a triple threat match involving Drew McIntyre defending his title against Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu, much like our man Cain A. Knight mentioned during this past week’s episode. The problem?

It would all but invalidate the entire concept of a Chamber win earning the title match at WrestleMania 42.

I agree with this take here:

Which led to this response from the OP, and I also agree with this:

McIntyre has run afoul of SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis in such a way that it actually makes as much or even more sense to make him pay while making the Chamber match far more compelling in the process. If the end goal is a triple threat at WrestleMania anyway, this seems as good a way to get there as any.

Plus, you keep the value of the match itself. Hell, this even adds to it.

Agree or disagree?
