“Look for a woman with motherly instincts before marriage” – Edem

Ghanaian musician Edem has shared his perspective on what he believes is key to building a stable and lasting marriage, stressing the importance of choosing the right life partner.

Speaking in an interview with blogger Zionfelix, the rapper reflected on how he has been able to maintain a healthy home with his wife over the years.

According to Edem, he prioritised finding a woman with strong maternal instincts before settling down. “If you want to marry a woman, look for somebody who’s a mother figure,” he said, explaining that the ability to raise, groom and care for children is crucial. He added that even if a marriage faces challenges, children often remain closer to their mother, making her role in shaping the home especially important.
