Lobi Stars Celebrate Chairman Ikya’s Birthday With High Praise

Lobi Stars Football Club have applauded their esteemed Chairman, Simon Terver Ikya, on his birthday with the management, staff, and players extending their felicitations.

In a statement released by Principal Media Officer Austin Tyowua, the club lauded Mr. Ikya’s leadership, crediting him with a significant “recalibration” of the club’s direction. His tenure has reportedly fostered unity, discipline, and a culture of promptness and industry among both officials and players.

Under Mr. Ikya’s guidance, Lobi Stars have seen a remarkable transformation, with “every unit hav[ing] found its rhythm, functioning with clarity and cohesion like a well-drilled side.”

A notable achievement under his leadership, supported by the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, was the club’s return to their home ground in Makurdi after years away. The McCarthy Stadium was brought up to league standards, and the team’s subsequent three matches there resulted in three victories, propelling them from fifth to second place in the league, just three points off the top.
