Well, this is a concerning sign to come. Lexus Europe is going fully electrified as the Lexus LC and RC F have been retired meaning the V8 is DEAD for the brand overseas.

  • Engine: Under the hood is Lexus’s 2UR naturally aspirated 5.0L V8 paired to a 10-speed gearbox.
  • Power: 471HP and 398 lb-ft of torque. Performance: 0-60 happens around 4.8sec.

The LC has been on sale since 2017 now and still looks like a futuristic spaceship while the RC has been around for quite some time. This is a sign to come as the RC lineup is aged and the LC F was likely cancelled years ago with a future for the nameplate looking bleak as electrification takes over.

Though it will be a very long time until Lexus pulls the same moves in the US market as V8’s, gas engines are still very popular.
