Ghanaian media personality Kofi Adomah Nwanwani has shared an emotional update on his ongoing recovery months after surviving a shot to the face during the Kwafie Festival in Dormaa Ahenkro.

The incident happened on December 21, 2024, during the Kwafie Festival, when a musket fired at close range by a chief’s bodyguard struck him in the eye. Initially treated at local hospitals in Dormaa and Berekum, Kofi was later flown to Dubai and the UK for specialized care after losing vision in both eyes.

In a heartfelt video shared on Kofi TV on May 22, 2025, he extended profound gratitude to those who stood by him throughout the ordeal. He highlighted the unwavering support from both his family and his wife Miracle Adomah’s relatives, while also singling out Ibrahim Mahama, who “went all out,” even offering him a flight on his private jet. Though the moment was meant for thanks, Kofi noted, “I won’t leave any issue unanswered… I felt that it could have been my death.”

Kofi revealed that his vision, though not fully restored, has significantly improved. “I can now see you if you are standing before me. I can read messages… I am able to help myself,” he said.
