Kenya’s Hidden Gem: Mbweha Camp With Luxury Stays Starting from Ksh96k Per Night

Mbweha Camp is an exclusive safari retreat located within the Rift Valley, on the private 6,400-acre Congreve Conservancy.

The conservancy borders Lake Nakuru National Park and lies near Lake Elementaita, offering guests easy access to some of Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife destinations.

The property enjoys sweeping views of the Eburru and Mau Ranges and is approximately a three-hour drive from Nairobi, while Lake Nakuru is just 25 minutes away.

“Mbweha,” the Swahili word for jackal, reflects the camp’s unique setting, where all three jackal species can be found.

The three jackal species found in East Africa include the golden jackal, the black-backed (silver-backed) jackal, and the side-striped jackal.

Renowned for its intimate and authentic wilderness setting, the camp offers guests an immersive safari experience within a thriving natural sanctuary.

Its rich diversity of fauna and scenic surroundings combine to deliver a memorable Kenyan safari adventure.

Mbweha Camp Key Features

The camp features 10 charming cottages constructed from lava stone and topped with traditional makuti thatched roofs, blending contemporary comfort with authentic African design.

Each cottage is nestled among indigenous trees, creating a tranquil environment enriched by the natural sounds of the wilderness, from distant lion roars to the calls of hyenas at night.

The spacious rooms are thoughtfully appointed with king or queen-sized beds, mosquito nets, plush seating, handmade mats, and en-suite bathrooms to ensure a comfortable stay.

Guests can enjoy a range of amenities, including Wi-Fi, a swimming pool, a spa, and a sauna.
