Despite missing the first six months of the 2023/24 season due to an eight-month ban from the FA for betting regulation breaches, Toney is highly regarded as one of the Premier League’s top center-forwards. His impressive return of four goals in nine comeback appearances has caught the attention of England manager Southgate.

While Toney’s short-term future remains uncertain, with interest from clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur, the striker has now hinted at a potential move to Real Madrid. Speaking to Sky Sports before Brentford’s crucial match against Burnley, Toney mentioned Madrid as his desired destination if Brentford were to sell him.

Looking ahead, Toney outlined his goals for the remainder of the season, aiming for victories with Brentford, potential Euro success with England, and letting things fall into place thereafter.

Brentford manager Thomas Frank acknowledged the likelihood of Toney’s departure in the summer but emphasized the player’s value to the club. Despite receiving no offers for Toney during the winter transfer window, Frank anticipates significant interest in the striker from various clubs.

As Brentford battles to secure Premier League safety, Toney’s contributions on the field remain crucial amid their recent struggles.
