It’s not about rivalry but sisterhood and shared responsibilities - Nigerian woman explains why some women encourage their husbands to take another wife
A Nigerian woman, Buidat Hudu Muhammed Lawal has explained why some Muslim women are accepting of polygamy and even encourage their husbands to marry more wives.   According to Buithat, who is also seeking a second wife for her husband, polygamy is not about rivalry but about sisterhood and shared responsibilities.  People say polygamy is the end of peace in marriage but have you ever asked why some women actually encourage their husbands to take another wife. What if I told you, for some, its not about rivalry but about sisterhood, shared responsibilities, and multiplying blessings under one roof?, she wrote in a Facebook post on Tuesday, September 9.  Before you judge, pause and think, could polygamy be less about competition and more about cooperation? Before you say I could never share my husband, remember thismany women already do, just not officially. Polygamy only makes visible whats often hidden in the shadows. At least here, honesty is placed on the table, and rights are preserved.  So is the real issue polygamy itself or the way weve been conditioned to see it.    The post Its not about rivalry but sisterhood and shared responsibilities - Nigerian woman explains why some women encourage their husbands to take another wife appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
