Iran Vows Will Never Give Up Its Nuclear Program Or Limit Missile Capabilities Despite US Pressure

Seyed Mohammad Marandi, a professor of English Literature and Orientalism at the University of Tehran and a prominent Iranian political commentator, has reiterated Iran’s refusal to make concessions on its nuclear, missile, and regional policies, dismissing speculation circulating in Western media.

In a post on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account, Marandi stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran “will not give up its peaceful nuclear program or send enriched uranium abroad.”

He further emphasized that Tehran will not agree to limit its missile capabilities or weaken its relationships with regional allies, urging the public to ignore what he described as “Western media psychological warfare and speculation.”

His comments come amid sustained pressure from the United States and its allies over Iran’s nuclear activities, ballistic missile development, and regional influence.

Washington has long argued that Iran’s expanding nuclear program and missile arsenal pose a threat to regional and global security, while Tehran insists these capabilities are defensive and fully within its sovereign rights.

Iranian officials have repeatedly maintained that the country’s nuclear program is strictly peaceful, aimed at energy production, scientific research, and medical purposes.

Tehran argues that demands to export enriched uranium or impose new restrictions go beyond its obligations under international agreements and are designed to weaken Iran strategically.
