Iran Clarifies Possibility of Hitting Kenya with a Missile

Iran’s ambassador to Kenya, Ali Gholampour, has clarified that Kenya will not be a target of conflict between Tehran, the United States, and Israel.

Speaking to the press on Monday, March 2, Gholampour reassured Kenyans and the diplomatic community in Nairobi that Iran will not target Kenya.

His remarks came after the Kenyan government urged its citizens in the Middle East to exercise caution amid tensions in the Gulf region.

Iran’s Ambassador Assures Kenyans of a Possible Attack

Gholampour has stated that Iran will not target Kenya and emphasized that Nairobi does not host U.S. military facilities on the scale that would draw retaliation from Tehran.

“Iran will not target Kenya…Kenya doesn’t provide a US military facility with the capability to attack Iran,” said Gholampour.

He sought to clarify the circulating online speculation and fears among Kenyans that the war could spread beyond the Middle East, clarifying that Kenya is not part of the current conflict’s battle lines.

Gholampour Condemns U.S. Israel joint Attack

In an emotional speech, Gholampour condemned the U.S. and Israeli strikes against Iran that led to the killing of Iranian Supreme leader Ali Khamenei.

He described the coordinated assault as “a blatant violation of the principles of the United Nations Charter” and a threat to international peace and security, portraying Iran as a victim of aggression rather than an instigator of conflict.

“This is not merely an act of aggression.  It is a flagrant violation of Article 2, 4 of the Charter of the United Nations, and a grave threat to international peace and security. In this same cowardly attack, the enemy sought to strike at the very heart and soul of the Iranian nation,”

Gholampour claimed that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, had been killed in the strikes during a period of diplomatic engagement with the United States, accusing Washington of hypocrisy for pursuing negotiations while simultaneously launching military action.

“I must inform you with a heavy heart and with tears that I cannot hide that our beloved leader, the guiding light of our revolution and the guardian of our unity, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, peace upon him, has been martyred. Yes, the supreme leader of the Islamic revolution has fallen victim to this act of war. His eminence has joined his righteous predecessor, Imam Khomeini, and the countless martyrs of our nation’s sacred path,”added

How Khamenei was Killed

Iran has revealed new details about the killing of its Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, while warning of an imminent “devastating offensive” targeting Israel and United States military bases.

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), in a statement on March 1 broadcast on state television, said Khamenei was killed in an airstrike early Saturday “while he was carrying out tasks” in his office during strikes blamed on the U.S. and Israel.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)-affiliated Tasnim News Agency said the circumstances of Khamenei’s death disproved earlier reports suggesting he had gone into hiding, describing such claims as “enemy psychological warfare.”
